Self-initiated study
VELA
Every line, before a plate is cut.
A yard that builds one 72-metre yacht a year. Its website had to feel as considered as the ship, and as patient as the people who would buy one.

The brief
Nobody buys a yacht from a website. They buy from the first impression that this yard thinks more carefully than the others. So the site’s only job was to demonstrate precision.
The idea
So it opens the way a yacht begins: as a drawing. Scroll, and the ship is drawn line by line, then the blueprint dissolves into the finished vessel in exactly the same position, because every line was traced from the hull itself.
After that it gets out of the way. Wide, exact type, very few words, and a colour choice that repaints seventy-two metres of steel in about a second.
What makes it work
- 01
A blueprint you scroll
Fifteen drawn layers, from waterline to mast, registered exactly to the photograph they become.
- 02
Repaint the hull
Three finishes, and the whole ship changes with a single wipe across the frame.
- 03
A deck plan from above
An aerial view with points you can open, instead of a page of specifications.
- 04
One hull a year
Commission slots shown as a simple calendar, because scarcity is the whole pitch.
